Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park is a provincial park located on the shore of Lac la Biche in north east Lakeland’s of Alberta. Established in 1952 and named after Winston Churchill, the park is known for its birding opportunities and old-growth forests. It features a medium-sized former island and other islands within the lake. The park is a haven for birdwatchers, with migrating warblers and a large colony of American White Pelicans on the 'Pelican Islands.' It is also home to various owl species and other birds like the Greater Crested Flycatcher and Double-crested Cormorant. The park's fauna includes amphibians such as the Wood Frog, as well as mammals like White-tailed Deer, American Beaver, and Snowshoe Hare.
