Kickoff festivities begin at the Complex/Kinsmen Park area beginning at 4:00 PM with entertainment, food trucks and socializing. This lively evening event features Pumpkin Showcase Market stalls offering creative pumpkin themed goods and an array of food trucks serving up delicious cuisine. Ready for something a bit more adventurous? The midway opens at 4 pm to all who pre-purchase wristbands. Enjoy a family trek through the Corn Maze by the hospital; only $5 per person. This fun filled Friday night marks the official beginning of a weekend filled with fun and entertainment.

Join us on Saturday at the Pumpkin Fair for a day filled with exciting events and cultural showcases. Start your morning with a delicious pancake breakfast and explore a bustling Farmers’ Market featuring locally grown and handcrafted products and new this year, the Pumpkin Showcase Market featuring creative pumpkin themed craft and food products. Admire classic cars at the Car Show and delight your taste buds with a variety of delectable dishes from local restaurants and food truck vendors. Take on the challenge of navigating a corn maze and let the kids loose on the midway rides. Immerse yourself in Ukrainian traditions at the Ukrainian Showcase, and at noon, the highlight of the day, the giant pumpkin Weigh-Off competition starts. MC, AJ Keller from 840 CFCW will be on hand to commentate and entertain. Other must-see activities include the threshing demonstration at the Museum and the thrilling grand finale Giant Pumpkin Drop. After the drop, head to Metis Crossing for their Pumpkin Fair Kitchen Party with live music, great menu and drink specials. It’s a great experience with games, festivities and cultural experiences. Saturday is a day packed with family-friendly activities and entertainment that you won’t want to miss. All in-town events are within walking distance but there are busses running for those with tired feet.

Sunday at the Pumpkin Fair is all about Family time with a smaller, more intimate focus. Start your day with a hearty pancake breakfast and continue exploring the vibrant Pumpkin Showcase Market for unique and handmade goods. Family Day at the Complex Hall offers a range of family activities including live music, a petting zoo, Kid’s Craft Zone, bouncy castles, face painting and so much more. Savour the delectable food offerings from a variety of food trucks. It’s a perfect day for quality family time and discovering pumpkin themed treasures. Opie the train will be running on Sunday to give the kids scenic rides. And for the adults, the Smoky Lake Golf Course will be holding their Annual Pumpkin Classic 2 Person Scramble. 18 holes of fun followed by and Turkey Dinner.

Enhance your Pumpkin Fair experience by opting for an exhilarating ATV ride instead of battling congested road traffic and parking hassles. For convenience, park at the Iron Horse Trail staging area east of the CN Station, accessible via East Railway Drive from West Railway Drive, and follow the route for 800 meters. Rest assured, the staging area is regularly patrolled by Pumpkin Fair security. Located right next to downtown Smoky Lake, this staging area provides easy access to the heart of the event.
